A Wall Street Journal article, Doubts Linger Over 'Target' Funds, reported that Boston University finance professor Zvi Bodie said certain investors should hold half of their assets in TIPS. Mr. Bodie says people over age 40, with average income or less, should hold half their assets in TIPS because the stock market is riskier than most people realize. |

The Treasury Department held its quarterly refunding meeting earlier this month. The policy statement released after the meeting announced they will add two more 10-year TIPS reopening auctions. Together with the 5-year and 30-year auctions, there will be total of ten auctions in a year. Except in June and December, there will be one TIPS auction every month.
